Greetings Fam!!! Wow it’s been a long time since we posted here! But we have some important information about we want to share with you about the NEW cabins at camp!
If you have not been paying attention, we have had a great upgrade to our camp this season! We have 40 Brand New Cabins in the Staff Sleeping area of camp. These cabins are 2 bunk 10x10 cabins that have power and air conditioning! We did a work weekend at camp and have them all ready to go this upcoming game!
Since this is the first time we will be staying in the Cabins, we want to go over a few things to make sure everyone is on the same page.
First of all, we have decided that you will be able to dictate if the cabin you are sleeping in is in game or out of game. On the door of every cabin will be a reversible sign on a magnetic clip.
One side says:
And the other side says:
Whichever side you have facing out will dictate how you are treated by NPC’s
As usual we expect that you are abiding by the rules of play about things being in game. You cannot hide all your stuff in your cabin and just bring them out when you want. This will be something we are watching to make sure this is not being taken advantage of.
But if you are like me, when I am sleeping, I want to be sleeping so I would make my cabin be out of character. However, if you are embracing all the dangers of Dystopia Rising then make your cabin in Character and let the games begin!!
Secondly!
As per usual these cabins will be first come and first served. Unless you are a guide. One of the new guide perks for this year is the ability to claim your cabin. IF you see a sign like the following:
Then that cabin is claimed. But it is per bed not the entire cabin. Currently we will have 80 beds available. That will allow us to be flexible for a while. but once we are at a capacity, we will be stricter on the rules about not being able to save beds for others.
Each cabin has 2 metal spring frame bunks with a mattress. You can bring fans to help move air. During the winter you can bring space heaters or electric blankets to keep warm. The heaters will have to be electric only.
As usual we will expect everyone to take excellent care of these cabins, or the scouts will remove our ability to use them. So, let’s all make sure we are leaving them better than when we got there!
